The 2021 recipient of the Physician Advocate of the Year Award is Victor Politi, M.D., FACP, FACEP, Medical Director of the Physician Assistant program and the Emergency Medical Services Institute at St. John’s University’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (CPHS).
“I am deeply honored with this recognition from the New York State Society of Physician Assistants,” said Dr. Politi. “I look forward to continuing to partner with the NYSSPA in its ongoing efforts to support the practice of evidence-based medicine while providing high-quality, cost-effective care.”
“Dr. Politi is intimately aware of the knowledge, skills, and value physician assistants bring to quality patient care. He is an outstanding advocate for the P.A. profession,” said Louise Lee, Ed.D., M.H.A., PA-C, Director, Physician Assistant Program, and Associate Professor-Industry Professional, Department of Clinical Health Professions, at CPHS.
In addition to his work at St. John’s, Dr. Politi serves as the Senior Medical Director for The School of Health Sciences of Touro College’s Physician Assistant program and the Director of the Doctor of Physician Assistant program for Touro University Worldwide. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and served on The Regional Emergency Medical Services Council of New York City.
