Students, faculty and administrators from the Catholic High Schools of the Diocese of Rockville Centre took part in St. John’s University’s Institute for International Communication webinar on Sept. 29 to hear from religious and academic leaders on Civility and Communication.
The one-hour event focused on making high school students aware that disagreements and differences of opinions ought not devolve into crude exchanges of words. The aim of the online conversation, which included discussions of social media and student interactions at school and home, focused on developing habits for hearts and minds to be cordial and civil in their daily communication.
