A group of St. John’s alumni gathered at the annual Alumni Summer Social on Thursday, August 16. This event was taken to new heights this year—at High Bar, a rooftop bar and lounge in midtown Manhattan.
“This event was well planned and organized,” said Gabrielle D’Agnillo ‘17CPS. “It was a beautiful day.”
Attendees enjoyed the 360-degree views of the New York City skyline, a magnificent sunset, a refreshing summer’s evening breeze—and more importantly, being in the company of friends and fellow Johnnies, which included members of St. John’s Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD), the Tobin Alumni Association, and the Black Alumni Association.
The High Bar offered scenic views of well-known landmarks such as the Hudson River, Statue of Liberty, Freedom Tower, and Empire State Building. The group was excited as soon as they entered the indoor courtyard and outdoor patio of the lounge located on the 37th floor of the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel.
“The High Bar had great views and was a fun way to network,” said Jordan Harris ’17CPS.
Participants were able to enter a contest using the hashtag #SummerwithGOLD to win tickets to the 21st Annual President’s Dinner, which is scheduled to be held on November 2 at the New York Hilton Midtown at 6 p.m.
