The Law School’s Center for Law and Religion has appointed two student fellows for 2015-2016: Stephanie Cipolla '16 and Christina Vlahos '17.
Cipolla, who also served as a fellow last year, graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Political Science. Before coming to St. John’s, she spent a year working for the CEO of Catholic Charities—Archdiocese of New Orleans. She is a staff member on the St. John’s Law Review.
Vlahos graduated from Columbia College at Columbia University with a B.A. in English Literature and Modern Greek Studies. She is also a staff member on the St. John’s Law Review.
The fellows assist with various center activities throughout the year. Most importantly, they keep the center’s online resource, the Center for Law and Religion Forum, updated with daily “Scholarship Roundup” posts and weekly “Around the Web” features.
This is the center’s fifth student fellow class. The inaugural class was appointed in 2011. “The fellows are a tremendous asset to the center,” says Professor Mark L. Movsesian, who directs the center along with its associate director, Professor Marc O. DeGirolami. “Their interest in the field of law and religion, coupled with their academic skills and intellectual curiosity, help us produce timely and engaging programs. We’re fortunate to have them.”
