Jorge Rodriguez, Vice Provost and Chief Enrollment Officer, joined St. John’s University in 1983. Jorge is responsible for leading the Office of Enrollment Management which encompasses oversight of the Offices of Undergraduate Admission, International Admission, Financial Aid, Bursar, Registrar, University Freshmen Center, Customer Call Center, and Enrollment Communication.
Mr. Rodriguez spearheaded the merging of the Office of Financial Aid and Bursar into the Office of Student Financial Services as well as implemented the University’s Payment Plans and Scholarship/financial aid models. He also served as an Adjunct Professor in St. John’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences teaching political theory for over six years.
As an experienced administrator, he has presented at numerous national conferences and has been called by the media, including the New York Times and other news outlets to comment on current issues in higher education, especially in the realm of financial aid and enrollment management.
Based on his service to St. John’s University, in 1997 he was awarded the Outstanding Administrator Award.
Mr. Rodriguez earned his B.S. degree in Finance and his M.A. in Government in Politics from St. John’s University.
