    The Black Business Expo is an event in order to bring attention and exposure to black entrepreneurs and service providers in the New York area. It is also a space for networking among other entrepreneurs. The purpose of the Black Business Expo is to inform the community about Black entrepreneurs and encourage residents to financially support these business owners.

    The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is a trailblazer that has achieved many milestones as the oldest civil rights organization in America. Founded on February 12, 1909, the NAACP has continuously fought to ensure equality for minorities in this country. The St. John’s Collegiate Chapter of the NAACP hosts our annual anniversary dinner to celebrate our accomplishments! Food, performances and guest appearances all for free with your stormcard!

    Is it ever okay for Latinos to use the N word? Is it okay for Black Latinos to use it? We want to have an open discussion on whether Latinos can use the word and on what instances is it okay. The event will start with a small presentation on how close the Latino and African American community is in aspects of socio economic standing and how this has influenced the Latino community/ why its become common for many to say the word.
