Art at Risk

Collectibles, including art, pose a unique set of risks. Valuation, opaque pricing, illiquidity, counterfeiting, and physical damage all generate risks that need to be identified, quantified, and addressed – whether through mitigation, transfer or avoidance.

This conference will address issues from a number of perspectives, and will be valuable for:

  • institutional or private investors and/or collectors;
  • financial advisors;
  • cultural/art institutions;
  • insurers;
  • art appraisers;
  • auction houses;
  • lenders; and
  • attorneys.

Featuring industry experts and organized by the Center for Executive Education, Peter J. Tobin College of Business, in conjunction with its School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science, this conference will add value and provide insights both to experienced veterans and new recruits in the fine arts and collectible fields.  There will also be ample time for questions and discussion during the individual sessions.
