St. John’s tree lighting ceremony brings students, faculty, alumni, and employees together on the Great Lawn for a festive celebration, topped off with a Grucci fireworks display.

“Lessons and Carols” is a beautiful service that combines music and psalm readings that take us on a journey through the Advent season as told in scripture.

Sign up for service. Give the give of your time at any number of service activities taking place throughout the winter season.

Give the gift of life. Blood donations historically drop during winter months, which is why St. John’s Christmas blood drives are so important.

Make a trip into New York City and take in the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes®.

Then, walk around the corner to 30 Rockefeller Plaza for ice skating under their giant Christmas tree.

If it’s too crowded at 30 Rock, stroll up to Central Park and skate at Wollman Rink and take a carriage ride around Central Park.

If you can’t make it into the city, just walk over to the D’Angelo Center (DAC) and enjoy a steamy cup of hot cocoa—with plenty of marshmallows, of course!—by the fireplace and beautifully decorated tree in the DAC living room.
