Faculty Book Reception
The Writing Center and University Libraries, in conjunction with the Office of the Provost, the Center for Teaching and Learning, and the Faculty Writing Initiative, are pleased to announce the 21st Annual Book Reception honoring those faculty members who have published a book since March 2017.
The reception will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018, in the Writing Center, St. Augustine Hall, Room 150, from 1:50 until 3:15 p.m. (Common Hour). This event will provide the University community, faculty, students, administrators, and staff with an occasion to become acquainted with the recent work of our faculty members. Authors are encouraged to attend the reception.
All full-time and part-time faculty members are invited to participate. If you wish to participate, please complete the online form. Submissions may include single-author monographs, edited volumes, textbooks, and re-editions.
A version of the book descriptions and comments and a snapshot of the book cover will be printed in a booklet as a permanent record of the event. To ensure that the booklet is ready for the reception, all submissions must be received by close of business on Tuesday, February 7, 2018. If you cannot meet this deadline, your book will be featured in the 2019 Faculty Book Reception.
Also due by February 7 is a hard copy of the book. Please send the book to Dorothy Bukay, Writing Center, St. Augustine Hall, Room 150. You will receive an e-mail confirmation upon receipt. All books will be displayed at the reception and returned within several weeks.
If you have any questions concerning participation or submission, please contact Dorothy Bukay at [email protected].
