Every administrative supervisor of the University should be fully aware of the Human Resources Policy Manual. The Office of Human Resources is responsible for maintaining the policy manual. The manual is available to and accessible by all employees on the Human Resources home page of the St. John’s University website.
The University reserves the right to interpret, change, modify, add, delete or not apply all or part of the provisions of this manual at any time. The University adheres to all applicable local, state, and federal laws.
Periodically, it is necessary for Human Resources to update and revise policies in this manual. To make changes to policies for which Human Resources is not the designated Responsible Office, departments should call HR Services at extension 1502.
Policy changes will be made by Human Resources and posted to the policy manual online. Notification of new, revised and clarified policies will appear on the Policy Updates page, and supervisors receive annual notification of all policy changes. Supervisors should make sure to communicate any policy changes to their employees in a timely fashion.
