After receiving an honorary degree at the University’s 148th annual Commencement Exercises and addressing the graduating Class of 2018 with a hopeful message encouraging them to always look out for the “missing in society,” His Eminence Luis Antonio Gokim Cardinal Tagle, D.D., S.Th.D, Metropolitan Bishop of Manila, was honored at a celebratory luncheon held at the Queens campus on Sunday, May 20.
More than 2,000 undergraduate and graduate degrees were conferred to students from the Queens and Staten Island campuses at St. John’s University’s 148th annual Commencement Exercises held on Saturday, May 19 and Sunday, May 20, 2018.
After serving as Provost of St. John’s University since 2012, Robert A. Mangione ’77P, ’79GP, ’93PD, ’99Ed.D., announced that he will be stepping down from that position to return to faculty, effective July 1, 2018.
