St. John’s University has recently been honored with the Campus Technology Impact Award for the original development of the BKFNDr mobile app, which uses beacons, coordinates, and mapping to assist St. John’s students in navigating dense library shelves—quickly getting them to the books they need.

Orientation is an opportunity for the over 3,000 incoming St. John’s freshmen to experience a taste of campus life while engaging with faculty, administrators, and current students, all of whom want to make their transition to college life as seamless as possible.

Students representing several St. John’s University colleges demonstrated their skills on a world stage—and placed in the top five—in the International Council for Small Business (ICSB) 2018 Academy Pitch Competition held on Friday, June 29 during the 63rd ICSB World Congress in Taipei, Taiwan.

Following tremendous campaigns on and off the playing field, three St. John’s teams have been awarded the BIG EAST Team Academic Excellence Award, given to the squads with the highest grade-point average (GPA) in the conference for their respective sports.

Seeking to learn more about careers in the burgeoning field of cybersecurity, 75 students from the five boroughs of New York City, Long Island, and northern New Jersey attended the weeklong GenCyber camp in July at St. John’s University’s Queens and Staten Island campuses.
