RE:Web Class Rosters

I would like to remind you that classes begin on Wednesday, January 18, 2012.

Please note that during the Spring 2012 semester Wednesday, April 11, 2012 is a conversion day and Monday classes will meet.

With Spring classes about to start, I remind you that class rosters are available on the web and that they are always up-to-date.

To access your web roster, log on to St. John’s Central, click on the UIS tab and then again at the “Welcome to UIS” greeting.  From there, click on the “Faculty Services” tab.

Since students may add and drop classes via the web through Tuesday, January 24, I encourage you to check your rosters before each class meeting through this date.

From Wednesday, January 25 through Tuesday, February 7, students may drop classes in their dean’s office. A review of your web class roster during this period will alert you to any student who has dropped your class in person.

After February 7, your web roster will identify students who withdraw officially.

Please note that any student not appearing on your roster is not officially registered for your class, even if the student had originally appeared on your roster and has been in attendance.  Students who are dropped for non-payment will disappear from your roster. Please inform any student not on your roster that he or she is not registered for your class. Such students should be directed to the Office of Student Financial Services.

The University Freshman Center is eager to assist freshmen in difficulty. I encourage you to report to the UFC any freshmen who appear on your web roster but who are not attending class. The Freshmen Center advisors will immediately attempt to contact them.

I also ask that you to check the rooms to which your classes have been assigned. Occasionally, it is necessary to make a last-minute change. Changes are reflected immediately and can be found under the Faculty Detail Schedule heading.

Thank you for your assistance and have a great semester!
