What if my StormCard is Lost or Stolen?

It is your responsibility to report your lost or stolen card to the StormCard Office, Public Safety (24 hours) or on the Web (24 hours), just like you would a lost or stolen credit/debit card. This is to protect your money in the various spending accounts, which are accessed through your StormCard. You are liable for all activities on your card’s accounts until you report the card lost/stolen. To report your card lost using the Web, go to St. John's Central, use the UIS services and navigate to the Personal Information menu. If your card is defective, you can visit the StormCard Office 24/7.

The fee for your first StormCard replacement is $25. After the first StormCard replacement there is a graduated replacement fee. The graduated fee consists of the $25 replacement fee plus a $25 fee for each lost replacement StormCard up to a maximum fee of $100. This fee payable by cash, check or credit card. If your card is stolen off campus, call the local police and make a report. You will need that number or copy of the police report to avoid being charged for your card. If your card was stolen on campus, go to Public Safety and report it, 24 hours a day! In the case of theft, you will not be charged after the circumstances are verified.

All the funds in your dining, Flex and printing account will automatically transfer to your new card.
