Office of the Registrar St. Johns University

We provide services and support to students and alumni, faculty and their departments, and various St. John's constituents except the School of Law, which has its own Registrar.

The Office is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the University's official student records. Our chief responsibilities fall into six broad categories: registration; record-keeping; verifications and transcripts; course offerings; classrooms; and graduation.

In its varied activities, the office works closely with the offices of the Provost, Information Technology, Admission, Student Financial Services, the College Deans and the University Freshman Center.

Students
Working closely with the University Freshman Center, the Office of the Registrar builds programs for new undergraduate students in their first semester. Continuing students may select classes online through St. John's University Information System (UIS)

The Registrar makes use of the National Student Clearinghouse to ensure that students are not asked to repay loans while they are still enrolled at the University. We also provide verification of enrollment for health plans and other purposes at no charge. Request a Transcript through the Office of the Registrar at the appropriate campus or online via UIS.

Faculty
The Registrar mails each student a report card at the end of every semester. Grades are also available online via UIS, from which students can view their academic records, advisement reports, the University's varied course offerings and other important information.

Employers, background screening firms and health insurers who want to confirm enrollment or degree information should go directly to www.degreeverify.com.

As guarantors of the accuracy and integrity of student records, we adhere strictly to federal regulations that ensure the confidentiality of student information.
