St. John’s University will serve as a local
host site for the American Cancer Society’s Cancer Prevention Study-3,
participants in a research study on May 21 and 22.
The American Cancer Society’s Epidemiology
Research Program, The Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3), is
searching for both men and women ages 30-65 who have never been
diagnosed with cancer to participate in their study. The study will
look to create a better understanding of any potential factors that
could cause or prevent cancer.

After scheduling an enrollment appointment,
participants will be asked to complete a medical history survey
that they will receive in a confirmation e-mail. At the appointment, which
should take approximately 20 minutes, participants will be asked to
sign a consent form, complete another brief survey, and provide a
waist circumference measurement and a blood sample.
