The Cost of Attendance is the amount estimated to cost you to
attend school. It is traditionally presented as a yearly figure. It
is determined in accordance with federal guidelines.
Cost of Attendance includes tuition and fees, books and supplies,
housing, meals, transportation, clothing maintenance, plus personal
items/health insurance.
Your Cost of Attendance is made up of Direct and Indirect
cost. Your individual cost of attendance is viewable
online via your personal UIS account.
Direct Costs
These expenses are paid directly to the school like: tuition, fees
and room and board.
Indirect Costs
These are additional expenses that the student will have in order
to attend college. They are estimated, and are composed of:
personal expenses, transportation, books, and miscellaneous
expenses.
