The Law School is pleased to co-sponsor the Legal Writing
Institute's (LWI) Training
Workshop for Legal Writing Professors and
Adjuncts.
Taught by experienced legal writing professors, librarians and
writing specialists, this one-day workshop is designed for new
legal research and writing professors and adjuncts. It will
also benefit seasoned educators looking for practical ideas and
insights on handling some of the more challenging aspects of this
growing academic field. Presenters will offer tips and best
practices for creating appropriate assignments, grading papers and
holding student conferences. They will also discuss recent
developments in teaching legal research and professional
development.

The Legal Writing Institute
is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving legal writing
by providing a forum for discussion and scholarship about legal
writing, analysis and research. The second largest organization of
law professors in the United Staes, it has over 2,600 members and
includes representatives from 38 different countries. LWI
promotes its activities through its publications, workshops,
specialty conferences and the national biennial conferences held in
even-numbered years. It makes its physical home at Mercer
University School of Law in Georgia.
