By the end of the workshop, graduate students should be able
to:
- Comprehend the different mental issues that children have to
face in special bilingual schools
- Provide students in these schools with the measures, tools, and
knowledge to develop healthy relationships with other students,
teachers, and themselves by adopting psychology methods in teaching
methods
- Alleviate the students’ stresses in school settings
- Analyze the students’ academic skills and performance by
evaluating their academic interests, e.g. Math, Science, and Global
Studies
- Effectively communicate with the students with the language
barrier as an obstacle
- Mentor and inspire these students
- Help these students attain the psychological skills to help
their families and their communities
- Raise the students’ self-esteem, self-confidence, and
self-worth
- Encourage these students to become independent and obtain
employment
