Resume Writing Tips

Avoid using personal pronouns, abbreviations or acronyms.

Include your phone number with an active voice mail as well as a professionally minded email address (i.e. do not use email addresses such as hottymama@aol.com or the like).

Quantify your results and achievements by providing statistical data and numbers.

Be honest and ready to back all your claims with an example of a prior experience.

Spell check all documents and have at least two others proofread your resume for errors.

Create a resume that is visually pleasing and fills up the page because everyone has been known to judge a book by its cover.

DO NOT COPY the resume samples.  Many of your fellow classmates will refer to samples; therefore, copied versions will be obvious.  Be original!
