Interview Day for Educators
Participating school districts and organizations will be on
campus from 1 - 4 p.m. to interview selected candidates for
full- and part-time positions.
Eligibility Requirements
- Have your resume critiqued by a Career Center counselor by
Friday, February 29, 2008. Contact (718) 990-6375 to schedule an
appointment
- Obtain a list of the participating
employers. A tentative list will be available February 11, 2008
in the Career Center. Check back regularly for updates.
- Resumes must be submitted to the Career Center by Friday, March
7, 2008.
- Bring ONE copy of your resume for each school district you
select and submit your resume only to those districts you are
seriously considering. Your certification must match the
certifications for which the district is hiring. Bring one extra
copy of your resume for the Career Center files.
- Students chosen by schools/districts for interviews will be
contacted beginning Tuesday, March 25 by the Career Center by phone
and email.
- Interviews will take place on April 3, 2008. Prior to that
date, selected candidates must confirm their interview time with
the Career Center.
- It is imperative that you keep your interview appointment. A
last minute cancellation or "no-show' will not reflect well on your
job search.
Education Job Fair 2008
Students graduating in 2008 and alumni are invited to join us
for an opportunity to meet with and discuss employment
opportunities with schools, districts and educational organizations
from the New York Metropolitan area.
4 - 6 p.m.
Council Hall, Queens campus
Professional Business Attire Required (for example: no
flip-flops, athletic shoes, denim jeans, shorts, t-shirts,
etc.). Bring plenty of resumes.
Note: Career Center events are open to current St. John's
University undergraduate and graduate students and alumni only
unless otherwise indicated.
