A great way to build your brand on campus
so that students learn about your organization is to get
involved with the Career Center through presentations, and
Career/ Job Fairs.
Information Sessions
Pre-recruiting events have become
popular ways to meet informally with students to provide
information about the organization as well as the career
opportunities offered.At times
throughout the year, organizations may ask to hold open or closed
information sessions.
Please try to give us at least two months
advance notice if possible so that we may best be able to
accomodate your request for space and to best publicize the event
to students
Career Conversations
Designed to
provide a more intimate conversation style exchange, these events
focus on providing employers with the opportunity to share
information with students about internship and career opportunities
within their organizations; tips for breaking in to the field,
etc.
Panels and Presentations
Panels are scheduled regularly in all different career areas to
provide student groups and classes with career
information.
Shadowing Program
The Career Center’s
shadowing program provides students who are completing their
second year an opportunity to learn about career prospects and
professional work environments through a shadowing
experience. The shadowing program allows mentors
the chance to share what they do day-to-day in their careers
with students through first-hand
encounters.
