Because St. John’s offers practical application of St. Vincent de Paul’s mission of service into campus life and the curriculum, students become well-rounded leaders who find themselves in high demand after graduation. Our students are uniquely prepared for lives as ethical leaders through their direct service to others. These hands-on experiences help define what it means to be Red.
Being a force for good is what Red is all about. Our graduates use their time and talents to make our world a better place. Campus Ministry at St. John’s welcomes students of all religious traditions, while also encouraging our Catholic students to strengthen their Catholic identities through service and participation.
New York City is not just home to world-class art, business, dining, and entertainment, but it’s also home to three St. John’s University campuses. First-year students will trade their classrooms for the streets of Manhattan though the unique “Discover New York” course, which will delve into the economic, cultural, religious, and political diversity of the City from the academic perspective of their professor.
Experience the world. Learn and serve through study abroad opportunities across the globe. You can “Discover France” or “Discover Italy” by spending a semester at our Rome or Paris locations. Or, you can “Discover the World” by experiencing Paris, Rome, and Seville for five weeks each over the course of one semester.
