St. John’s University is proud to display the “What Is America
To Me” exhibit presented by the Creative Photographers’ Guild of
Staten Island. The show is meant as a celebration and visual
interpretation of the diversity of America, expressed through the
universal language of photography. The exhibit will run from
September 30 through October 29, in the St. John’s Student Center,
300 Howard Avenue, Staten Island, New York. Please note that
the show is free and open to the public.
The Creative Photographers’ Guild was formed in April, 2005 in
Staten Island. Its mission is to promote the understanding
and appreciation of photography as a powerful visual language and a
legitimate art form. In the brief time since its formation it
has held exhibits at: The
Greenbelt Nature Center; The Kevin Barry Gallery; and The Cape House Gallery.
The Creative Photographers’ Guild has a permanent exhibit of 40
works at the Eger Health Care
Center and has participated in their Annual Fall Fare.
