On Saturday, February 27, 2010 alumni and friends gathered at
Stout NYC for a unique morning pre-game reception prior to heading
into Madison Square Garden for the Red Storm men's basketball game
against BIG EAST rival the University of Pittsburgh Panthers.
The event was co-hosted by the Young Alumni Committee, the Black
Alumni Association and the Office of Alumni Relations.
Guests enjoyed an extensive brunch at a venue familiar to many

It's also nice to know that whether I'm here or in Paris, I'm part
of the global St. John's family."
Many alumni enjoyed the chance to combine socializing and
networking with a premier St. John's athletic event. "These
brunch receptions are a great way to lead off these early games,"
noted Michael R. Bart '85CBA. "You really get the energy and
St. John's spirit before even heading into the arena. This
[Stout] is a great location, too…it's a great place."
"It's good to be able to get together with other alumni in a nice
setting," agreed Alan S. Friedman '83SVC. "I was really
looking forward to the game and enjoyed showing my Red Storm
