St. John’s Professor Receives “Best Paper Award” From Journal of Private Enterprise

A paper on business ethics by a St. John’s professor of philosophy has received the 2009 Journal of Private Enterprise’s “Best Paper Award.”

Douglas B. Rasmussen, Ph.D., Professor of Philosophy, co-authored the paper, “Making Room for Business Ethics: Rights as Metanorms for Market and Moral Values,” with Douglas J. Den Uyl. Dr. Rasmussen’s areas of scholarly interest include political philosophy; ethics; ontology and epistemology; business ethics and political economy.

Published by the Association of Private Enterprise Education (APEE), the Journal of Private Enterprise is a peer-reviewed journal that has become a significant forum for scholarship on private enterprise. The APEE promotes scholarship on private enterprise.
