The Best Start:
Services for New Students at St. John’s
The first semester of college can be the most exciting – and
challenging – time in your child’s life. For many young people,
this is a time to make new friends, become accustomed to residence
life and learn to budget their free time.
You’ll be glad to know that St. John’s offers abundant services
to help new students adjust to their exciting first semester of
college. Those services begin with New Student
Orientation, a summer program that allows your child to become
familiar with St. John’s campus, activities, professors and varied
offices.
We even offer you a chance to experience life at St. John’s. Our
Parent
Orientation runs concurrently with “New Student Orientation.”
The day-long program introduces parents to the many services and
programs available at St. John’s.
After the semester begins, new students enjoy constant academic
and personal advisement through the University Freshman
Center.
