A Letter from the Parent Association

Dear St. John’s Families,
Welcome to the November/December 2007 edition of the Parent Association Family Connection! It’s hard to believe that the semester is almost over. The winter months are an exciting time at St. John's University and we are here to keep you informed on what your son or daughter may be experiencing.

As you know, the goal of the Parent Association is to assist you in supporting your child and helping him or her succeed at St. John’s University. The topics in this edition include the emergency notification system, updates from Residence Life, how to prepare for long holiday visits with your son or daughter, career planning, the story of two award-winning student athletes, updates from the University Freshman Center, leadership development, a highlight from the Discover New York program, and seasonal issues that students often face. We hope that this information will be informative and helpful.

If you are in need of additional assistance, please contact Katelynn Coy with the Queens campus Parent Association at (718) 990-7629 or Kimberly Palmieri with the Parent Association on the Staten Island campus at (718) 390-4345 or encourage your son or daughter to speak with a student affairs administrator.

We hope that your family has a very happy and healthy holiday.  We will “connect” again next semester!

Sincerely,
The Parent Association
