William Z. Kransdorf is director of the NYC Bankruptcy Assistance Project (NYC BAP) at Legal Services NYC, which provides pro bono assistance to debtors in bankruptcy.  Since 2010, Kransdorf has taught the Bankruptcy Advocacy Clinic at St. John's Law.  He has worked in legal services since graduating from law school in 1992, first at Legal Aid of Marin, near San Francisco, and later at the former Legal Aid of Alameda County.  Kransdorf eventually became Director of Legal Services at Legal Aid of Marin before coming to New York to launch the Bankruptcy Assistance Project in 2005.  This Project has become a national model for pro bono and bankruptcy advocacy.
