The collection includes more than 3,000 DVD and video titles, supportive of curriculum and research, which may be borrowed by faculty members or viewed at the Media Center.
In addition to the titles on video and DVD, over 100 educational videos are available to the St. John's community online from FMG Film on Demand.
Any faculty may make suggestions for purchase by sending requests to the Media Center. Materials are generally first obtained for preview to determine content, technical quality and worth. Faculty are alerted by e-mail, when their requested titles arrive.
All Media Center materials are included in the Libraries' Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC). Search in Advanced Search as you would any of the Libraries’ holdings and use "limit type to" Video. DVDs will also show up under this limit.
Faculty may put their own or the Center’s DVDs/videos on reserve in the Media Center for their students to view. (Please note this location is not the Reserve area used for books, journals, etc.)
Faculty members may borrow materials for up to 7 days. Faculty members may also request items be sent to Staten Island Campus.
Students cannot borrow material, but may view or listen to materials on premises.
