St. John's University New York Campuses Closed

Out of concern for the safety of our students, faculty, and administration and in consideration of the widespread regional snow removal efforts which are expected, all St. John's University's New York campuses will be closed Monday, January 26, and Tuesday, January 27, 2015, and all classes will be canceled.

This closing applies to St. John's Queens, Staten Island, Manhattan, and Oakdale campuses.

Main Library (Queens)

St. Augustine Hall, Queens

The Main Library is truly the crossroads of the Queens Campus: in the fall 2002 semester our gate count indicates an average of 19,000 students, faculty, staff, administrators, and community members visited the Library each week.

The Main Library is also the largest of the University Libraries in size of collection and number of special services provided. The University Archives, Special Collections, a preservation lab, and the Media and Instructional Materials Centers are all located in this Library.

There are four group study rooms (reservations required - ask at the Circulation Desk, 3rd floor), in addition to the main reading rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors. There is also a Quiet Study area in the north wing of the first floor.
