Graduates of years ending in “4” and “9,” are invited to a
fun-filled weekend of activities from May 29 - 31, 2009.
Special celebrations will also be held for those marking the 50th,
40th or 25th anniversary of their graduation from St. John’s.

Eleventh Annual Johnny’s Angel Awards For St. John’s Bread and Life
Program
St. John's Bread and Life Program, Inc., held its 11th annual
Johnny’s Angel Awards Dinner at St. John's University’s Queens
campus on November 12. Retired Judge Joseph Bellacosa '59C, '61L,
'87HON of the New York State Court of Appeals, his wife Mary
Bellacosa, and Helen T. Lowe, Executive Director of Development at
Archdiocese of New York, were the honored guests for the evening.

Convocation
St. John’s University’s The School of Education honored an esteemed
group of professionals at its 100th Anniversary Convocation on
Wednesday, November 12 at the Queens campus. Four
accomplished women, Margaret D’Angelo ’70Ed, Carol A. Gresser
’59Ed, Shirley A. Griggs, Ed.D. and Josephine M. Pacini were
recognized for their significant contributions to the field of
education.
