The Sports Law Journal

The St. John’s Sports Law Journal is a student-edited online journal associated with the Law School's Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Society and LLM program in International and Comparative Sports Law. Known for three years as The Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law Journal, the journal was restructured as the Sports Law Journal in the fall of 2013. The Sports Law Journal is the most recent addition to the St. John’s School of Law tradition of fostering and celebrating excellence in scholarly research and legal writing. Publishing articles of legal significance related to all areas of sports law, the Journal seeks to provide legal practitioners and scholars with commentary and analysis of current and emerging issues. The Journal publishes two issues annually with volumes composed of pieces from practicing attorneys, legal scholars and St John’s law and LLM students.

The Journal’s editors and staff are highly encouraged to work in conjunction with students of the LLM program to author notes regarding national and international issues affecting sports law. Members also contribute regularly to the NYSBA’s Entertainment Arts & Sports Law Section Blog, offering current pieces on a weekly basis.
