Theodore Roosevelt American Inn of Court

The Theodore Roosevelt American Inn of Court is a local chapter of the American Inns of Court, a nationwide mentoring organization rooted in the 800-year-old tradition of the English Inns of Court. The mission of the American Inns of Court is to foster excellence in professionalism, ethics, civility, and legal skills for judges, lawyers, academicians, and students of law in order to perfect the quality, availability, and efficiency of justice in the United States. The Theodore Roosevelt Inn, which is based at the Nassau County Bar Association, includes as members judges, law professors, and leading members of the Long Island bar. The regular meetings of the Theodore Roosevelt Inn provide a collegial atmosphere that encourages networking between all members, mentoring and skills development, and the exchange of concepts, ideas and techniques. Each year, a number of St. John's students are selected to participate as student members of the Inn. The students are assigned to an attorney mentor and are responsible for planning and participating in one of the Inn's programs.
