Library Services

St. John's University has now migrated to Voyager, a new Integrated Library System (ILS) which includes the online catalog.

The new Voyager system provides users with:

  • Powerful search capabilities
  • Parallel searching across multiple libraries’ databases
  • More patron-initiated functionality
  • Links to electronic journals
  • Books straight from the catalog screen

Powerful library tools to aid students in their research also include: 155 online periodical databases, email/chat reference help available at all times, and electronic reserves.

Reserve items posted electronically on eReserves are available to students anytime, anywhere.  Students and faculty can conveniently use their laptops to do research - whether they're looking for hard-copy journals and books or online resources - by taking advantage of the wireless network in the libraries and elsewhere on campus or by using their own Internet connection from home.
