Bring your love for language to the community this winter break—fulfilling your service learning in a whole new location!

What better way to round out the fall semester than through an innovative service learning project in Puyo, Ecuador? Beginning your journey in Queens, you’ll work throughout the semester in Queens as preparation for the ASL project and your time in Ecuador during the winter intersession. So, whether you’re looking to perfect your Spanish skills through community interaction, or to incorporate what you know of the Italian language into your one-on-one work with local students and professors, this two week service learning project is the perfect fit for your language learning needs.

Courses:

Undergraduate:

  • ITA 3110/3120 Advanced Conversation
  • SPA 2030C Spanish Level III

Credits: 3 – 6*
*Students may take a minimum of 1 course (3 credits) or a maximum of 2 courses (6 credits). Students may register for graduate or undergraduate level courses, but not for both levels.
