NY Gateway Program
The NY Gateway Program, a partnership between St. John’s University and Quest Holdings International LLC (QHI), provides noncredit English language and college skills instruction for nonnative speakers of English in preparation for enrollment in degree programs.
Students are immersed in English through daily classes, tutoring, on-campus activities, and events and activities that take advantage of the program’s location in Staten Island—just a short trip from Manhattan, the heart of New York City.
Students who complete Level 4 of the NY Gateway Program fulfill the University’s language proficiency requirements for undergraduate admission. Students meeting all other academic criteria for admission are eligible for admission to undergraduate programs at St. John’s University upon completion of the NY Gateway Program.
Students who enroll in the NY Gateway Program are eligible to receive the Form I-20.
The NY Gateway Program admits students in the fall and spring semesters. See below for upcoming semester start dates.
