A Global Education
A Gathering of International Scholars
St. John’s University is a hub for global scholarship. For example, we host Fulbright Scholars from 26 countries in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Europe, the Caribbean, Central and South America. Our goal is to provide the exchange of ideas and experiences, and increased mutual understanding of peoples from diverse backgrounds.

Global Programs with Impact
SJU students gain access to many global programs that bring together Vincentian service and travel in order to contribute back to society. Ozanam Scholars work at local or global clinical sites. We’ve had students win prestigious fellowships in Public Policy and International Affairs, and of course, partake in internships around the world.

Creating Global Citizens
As a native Jamaican, I wanted to attend a university that embraced many different cultures — that’s why I came to St. John’s. I was enticed by the way St. John’s puts a major emphasis on helping students become global citizens. At St. John’s, you’ll understand the difference in culture, religion, and language, so you can communicate effectively wherever you go."
