Conducting an original research study is an important part of the
academic experience. Many studies will require prior
institutional approval. If you fall into any of the following
categories then you will most likely need to obtain such
approval:
· You will be
conducting your research study at a school, hospital, center, or
other organization outside of St. John’s University.
· You will be
recruiting your participants from a school, hospital, center, or
other organization outside of St. John’s University.
· You wish to
recruit through a members-only listserv
This session is designed to review the IRB research protocol and
show you how to effectively present your proposal to the
University’s Institutional Review Board (IRB).
