Nature and Purpose of Agency
To combat the Educational, Social, and Personal
factors which often prevent students from attaining success.
Students will learn to be leaders, make excellence their standard,
achieve academic honors, and stay disciplined to H.Y.P.E.’s success
principles to the realization of their teams.
Tasks Available for Students
Tutoring and Mentoring Program
Volunteers are needed to tutor the students in grades 2-8 and 9-12
in Math and ELA preparation. Grades 9-12 is located at Campus Magnet.
Project H.Y.P.E.is looking for STJ students to be role models for
their students by encouraging them to work hard in school in order
to be successful in college.
Time Requirements
Saturdays from 10:00-12:00 PM
Note: There is a three week commitment required to serve with
Project HYPE.

Instructions
You must be able to sign up for three consecutive weeks. When
scheduling your service, please indicate the grade level you would
like to work with (4th and 5th grade or 6th, 7th, and 8th
grade).

towards LK Success (East, away from the train station) to
Springfield Blvd. Transfer to the Q27 towards Cambria Hts (Jamaica
South Bound). Stop on 116th Rd. Walk to 218-01 116th Ave.
Driving Directions
Head East on Union Turnpike. Turn right on Springfield Blvd. Turn
left on 116th Avenue.
