Tasks Available for
Afterschool Program Assistance: Assist with recreational
activities, homework help, snack time, and reading activities from
2:45-6:00PM Monday through Friday.
Lunch Activities: Plan an activity during lunch hour at DWCA
(e.g. outdoor sporting workshops).
Note: You may also complete your School of Ed observation hours
at DWCA as well as student teaching. Please email
Principal LaForgia for more information.
Afterschool Program: Monday through Friday, 2:45-6PM. You must be
able to commit for one day per week for a minimum of four weeks to
serve with this program.
All volunteers must attend a 2-3 hour VIRTUS training with the
Diocese of Brooklyn or Rockville Centre prior to participating in
this service opportunity. There is no charge for this training.

training program. You must show your certificate of completion
prior to serving with this school.
Take the Q31 bus to Bell Blvd and Northern Blvd. Take the Q12 bus
towards Little Neck. Exit at Northern Blvd and 244th
Long Island Railroad, Port Washington line, Douglaston
stop. Exit and walk straight until you reach Northern
Boulevard (approximately 5 blocks), turn left onto Northern and go
three blocks to Alameda Avenue. School will be on the right
Take the Grand Central Parkway east to the Cross Island Parkway
south. Exit at 31E for Northern Blvd and merge onto Northern Blvd.
Turn right on 245th street.
Enter the Divine Wisdom Catholic Academy through the doors under
the blue awning.
