Danielle Jackson was born February 23, 1989, on Long Island, New
York. From an early age, her parents instilled in her the value of
giving back to the community. As a child she had aspirations of
making the world a better place and began using dance as a tool to
reach the community. Danielle performed at local nursing homes,
homeless shelters and churches to promote positive
relationships. In her early teens, she became involved in a
community youth group, Helping Youth Pursue Excellence, or H.Y.P.E
for short. he group embraced local teenagers and offered them
guidance and an opportunity to achieve personal excellence.
Danielle became the captain of the H.Y.P.E dance team and offered
free lessons and performances to the local teens to help improve
community relations. Danielle is an Adolescent Education major with
a concentration in Social Studies. At St. John's University she
works with the Ozanam Scholars Program to understand and eradicate
poverty by volunteerism and service.
