In celebration of a successful semester of experiential
learning, the Office of
Conference Services hosted a special luncheon for its inaugural
class of interns on April 24.
Through this novel program, created with the help of the
College of Professional Studies, each of the seven students who
participated gained practical, real-world experience throughout the
semester.
“Our goal is to provide our students with a meaningful experience
that will aid them in preparation for joining the workforce,” said
Brij
Anand, Vice President of Campus Facilities and Services. “By
working in the areas of marketing, technology, human resources,
tourism and hospitality, the interns assisted in the planning
process for the many conferences the University will host this
summer.”
