This spring take advantage of Fridays in the Soup
Kitchen at St. John’s University! This program is
available to staff, faculty and administers seeking to serve the
Vincentian tradition. On Fridays throughout the academic year,
groups of employees are invited to work and serve at St. John’s Bread and
Life in Brooklyn, NY.
Volunteers serve in the food line or work in the pantry during
lunch time at the kitchen. It is a wonderful opportunity to assist
in building community in the workplace, while offering a very real
and tangible way to serve God’s poor. This program is supported
fully by the University so as long as you are granted
approval from your direct supervisor, you are free to join us
during your Friday workday.
Campus
Ministry will arrange transportation to and from the
site, along with offering support and guidance throughout your
experience. If you wish to attend, come to the main Campus
Ministry office at 9:15 a.m. on Friday;
you can expect to return to campus by 1:30
p.m.
All members of the University community are invited to
attend. For more information, contact
Rafael Rivera, Campus Minister, at (718)
