  • Lunchtime Discussion with Fr. Maloney, C.M. (April 18, 2012): Members of the past and present cohorts of the VMI program at St. John's University joined Fr. Robert Maloney, C.M. the Vincentian Chair for Social Justice, for an informal discussion of their roles as Vincentian Lay Leaders at St. John's, and the privileges and challenges of that role. The discussion also served as a follow-up session to Fr. Maloney's presentation to the present VMI cohort on "St. Vincent de Paul: His Faith and Spirituality" in the previous week. 

 

  • VMI Cohort 2 Leadership Retreat (October 2011):  The second cohort of St. John’s University’s Vincentian Mission Institute (VMI) recently joined colleagues from Niagara University and DePaul University for a mission-based leadership retreat, highlighting the start of a two-year professional development program between the three Catholic and Vincentian universities in the United States. Hosted by DePaul and comprised of administrators and faculty members from each of the institutions, the  VMI Opening Retreat   featured sessions geared towards developing successive generations of lay leaders at each university.
