Retreats

The St. John’s Campus Ministry Retreat Programs offer an exciting opportunity to students to take a break and refresh!

Please follow us on Instagram @stjohnscampmin for all of the latest updates on what we have planned.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to Dana Livingston, at [email protected] or call 718-990-3971.

Give yourself the time you deserve to get away, meet new people, pray, meditate, relax, and take stock of where you are with the Campus Ministry Retreat program. These one-day, weekend, and overnight events are led by a group of St. John's student leaders, who guide you through peer experience. These retreats are a chance to meet yourself where you are at, leaving any outside expectations, pressures, or insecurities at the door, and opening yourself up to new experiences, new people, and a new outlook on life!

Upcoming Retreats

Thank you for expressing interest in the Busy People’s Retreat, an on campus experience that takes place over a few days. The BPR is designed to meet your needs for understanding your own spirituality, regardless of your religious affiliation. It can be done any time, no matter what your schedule looks like!

How does the BPR work?
Looking for a chance to have a spiritual conversation and deeper reflections? At your convenience, you can email Brother Mike at [email protected]. For BPR, you agree to meet for a few 30 minute sessions with a Campus Minister to discuss anything related to your spirituality. You two will work some dates and times that work for you both to fulfill the program.

It is that simple and you will come away with a better sense of where you are at with your spirituality.

Thanks very much,

Bro. Mike Sheerin, FMS
Campus Minister

The Search 18 Retreat is a three-day retreat in March designed to help young adults face the questions:  “Who Am I?”  “How do I relate now with others and with my Higher Power?”  This “spiritual plunge” engages students to understand spirituality and be transformed to develop their own personal and communal prayer life.  All students are invited to participate, be inspired, and enhance their lives as well as the University community at large. Our attendance list will be made on a first come, first serve basis as space is limited.  Once the $40 registration fee is obtained, your spot will be confirmed.

The retreat takes place from Friday, March 24, 2023 to Sunday, March 26, 2023 at the Thomas Berry Place in Queens, N.Y.  We look for to having you join us!
