In 2005 the Department of Education notified all educational
institutions that receive federal funding that they must observe
September 17 as "Constitution Day." Since that time St. John's
University has held special events related to educating students
about the Constitution. This year St. John's observe the day on the
evening of September 15 on the Staten Island campus, and Monday,
September 19, on the Queens campus.

Common Hour 1:50 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
D'Angelo Center Lobby
An information table in the D'Angelo Center will be available
during common hour that will provide voter registration
information and forms for students. In addition, students
will have an opportunity to go online and "Take the Constitution
Challenge."
Students and faculty will share their thoughts on various aspects
of the Constitution; their remarks will be broadcast on
televisions in cafeterias throughout campus.
