St. Baldrick/Locks of Love

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a cancer charity that collects donations to fund cancer research in an effort to find a cure for childhood cancers. They also ask that donors participate in shaving their heads to show support of those battling the diseases, while Locks of Love uses donated hair to create wigs for patients who have lost their own hair due to treatments.

St. John’s University students, faculty, and staff on both the Queens and Staten Island campuses shave their heads for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, or cut 8-10 inches of their hair to donate to Locks of Love.
