Sponsor a Family
Christmas is a time of hope and compassion. We can honor the spirit of the season by embracing St. Vincent de Paul’s call to serve those in need.
The Office of Campus Ministry invites students, faculty and staff to support the annual “Sponsor-A-Family” program. Offered through St. John’s Bread and Life Soup Kitchen, “Sponsor-A-Family” delivers food, clothing and toys to families facing difficult circumstances this Christmas.
Through the program, St. John’s Bread and Life hopes to serve food to more than 2,000 families and provide warm winter gear to approximately 1,000 individuals this season. Bread and Life is located in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn. Founded in 1982 as a ministry of the Daughters of Charity and the Vincentian Fathers, the organization is sponsored by St. John’s University.
Your donations also are needed to help St. John’s Bread and Life to provide food and toys for families in need.
