The First SJURA Meeting
November 21, 2003
The first meeting was a tremendous
success with over 120 retirees in attendance. Joseph V. Daly, C.M.,
Assistant to the President, welcomed attendees and stressed that
“St. John’s truly cares about our retirees.”
Several University administrators (Maria
Conti, Director of Benefits; Julia A. Upton, RSM, Ph.D., Provost;
Salvatore Ciampo, Executive Director of Design and Construction;
Eileen Devine, Associate Vice President for Human Resources and
Tony Bonaparte, Ph.D., Special Assistant to the President) spoke of
the new initiatives at St. John’s as well as all the benefits and
opportunities available to retirees.
